Medical Attention
Tahuichi´s medical staff donates
their services, performing annual medical check-ups on the
children´s cardio-vascular, respiratory, gastro-intestinal
systems, as well as percentage of body fat, height, weight,
and so forth. Some children also receive treatment for parasites,
physical therapy and dental care. The following groups receive
check-ups.

Nutrition
With the help of outside sponsors,
Tahuichi offers three meals a day to:

Nutritional
supplementation
As a nutritional supplement rich
in protein and potassium, Tahuichi offers soymilk in combination
with bananas to 300 children per day, totaling 70,000 supplements
offered per year.
Dental care
Check-ups, cleanings and fluoride
applications are performed on a semester basis to selected
kids.
Physical therapy
Physical therapy sessions and rehabilitation
include laser, ultrasound, electro-stimulation, infrared and
muscular strengthening.
Children with disabilities
Tahuichi has created a program of
integration, motivation and recreation, with trainings performed
once a week, for children with disabilities in Santa Cruz.

Residential children
Tahuichi encompases dormitories with
a maximum capacity of 46. Currently, 22 impoverished kids,
with good soccer skills, from all over Bolivia live here with
the dream of changing their lives through soccer. |
