Tahuichi Scholarship with Love
Tahuichi is a non-profit institution, originally developed as a soccer institution, has since transformed into a socio-cultural institution. Through soccer it emphasizes "hard work and organization" to develop highly motivated, successful citizens. While only a small fraction of Tahuichi graduates make it to soccer's elite level, all are taught a "positive winning attitude". Along with two hours of daily soccer instruction, the academy provides basic health and nutrition. Most of the children who come to Tahuichi are malnourished and poverty-stricken. Many are disadvantaged, living in the streets and orphaned. Tahuichi teaches soccer and gives the children a chance to a better life.
The Tahuichi Academy has been able to offer recreational and advanced soccer courses to more than 250,000 children. Most, approximately 90%, have participated cost free because they come from very poor families. Nowadays we host approximately 3000 children between the ages of 3 through 18 years old.
In order to maintain this high level of social commitment we have developed the program Tahuichi Scholarship with Love, which offers the following benefits to the child for a minimum of $us.10 (ten American dollars) per month:
• Healthy recreational through sports
• Social Integration
• Complementary Heath care
• Complementary Dental care
• Psychological stimulus
• Nutritional assistance (select teams)
To achieve these objective we need the collaboration of people like you as well as the helping hand of companies with social sensitivity who wish to become part of this family.
Donations in the USA
The Tahuichi USA Children's Foundation, Ltd., is a non-profit foundation established in the United States of America to help the children of the Tahuichi Aguilera Soccer Academy of Santa Cruz, Bolivia. All contributions go directly to the academy and are tax-deductible under the guidelines of Section 501(C)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. For tax purposes, all contributors will receive a receipt.
You can make a straight tax-deductible contribution to the Foundation in cash or in kind. No contribution is too small or too large. If sending a check, please make it payable to "Tahuichi USA Children's Foundation" and mail it to:

We will take care of delivering all donations (100%) to the Academy. Financial contributions are preferred, but the Academy can always use new or used equipment, whether or not it is soccer-related.
Some examples of equipment:
- Soccer shoes, balls, clothing, cones and other training equipment.
- Sport medical equipment including any and all kinds of braces and supports, ultrasound and other rehab equipment.
- Medical diagnosis equipment and supplies (thermometers, etc.).
- Office equipment including computers.
- Video equipment including video editing equipment.
- Nutrition supplies (imagine if each and every child could have a glass of supplemental nutrition everyday!)
- School supplies (pencils, paper, books).
- A school bus. Tahuichi can sure use a good school bus. Nowadays, Tahuichi continues using the bus donated in 1980.
