The Tahuichi Way
Way of Champions
The Tahuichi Way Program was designed
for youth players who are passionate about the sport of soccer.
Since 1991, over 1,400 players, boys and girls from the USA,
England, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Panama, Sweden, Wales,
Bermuda and Japan have participated in the one-month program
held every summer in Santa Cruz, Bolivia – home of the
world famous Tahuichi Aguilera Soccer Academy.
The Program
• The Tahuichi Way is a microcopy
of the exact ttttraining undergone by top Tahuichi teams pppreparing
for international competition.
• The program is one month in duration and is held d.during
the months of June and July in Santa ccCruz, Bolivia.
• Players train everyday (Monday through Sunday), ...twice
per day, for approximately 6 hours per day.
•.The Tahuichi coaches provide all the training (((including
all the training equipment).
• During the first week, the focus is on physical ccconditioning
with sessions held at the Rio Pirai (((river training) and
the Lomas de Arena (sand ccdunes training) taking advantage
of the ecological (((tropical) environment that Santa Cruz
has to ccoffer.
• In the second and third weeks, the focus shifts ttto
technical and tactical training with the added b.benefit of
friendly matches with Tahuichi teams.
• In the fourth week, the players are formed into ttteams
and participate in a city tournament.
• In addition to the above, the program includes sssessions
on nutrition, sports psychology, and tt.the laws of the game
as well as the m.methodologies of Tahuichi soccer.
• All players receive a video that documents their eeexperiences
during the one-month period.
• All players also receive a diploma – the Tahuichi
w.Way Diploma of Honor.
• The program is open to all competitive players –
...boys 13 to 22 and girls 15 to 22 years of age.
In the Tahuichi Way Program, players live with Bolivian families.
They have the opportunity to share a new culture, learn new
customs and traditions, try new foods and make new friends.
Discipline during the program, inside and outside of the soccer
field is strictly enforced by the Academy.
